This post is the latest in the World of Dances Series,  which profiles beautiful ballet and dance photographs, that photographer and National Geographic Expert Kike Calvo captures during his travels.

Every day around the world, dancers like Kylie, attend their ballet classes overcoming the elements. This photograph was taken the day after Juno Winter Storm covered the city with snow and ice.  And remember “It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer,” as Shanna LaFleur said.
