One of my photographs from The World of Dances project has been part of National Geographic’s “Women: A Century of Change”, an exhibition that celebrates the trailblazing women who have redefined what it means to be a woman.
This powerful traveling exhibition brings together a century of photography from the National Geographic archives, alongside contemporary voices, to highlight resilience, strength, and transformation. My image, rooted in cultural heritage and the expressive power of dance, has been exhibited as part of this visual celebration of womanhood across generations and continents.

Being part of this exhibit is deeply meaningful. The World of Dances is a long-term visual anthropology project that explores how movement, ritual, and tradition intersect. To have one of these moments included in a global conversation on womanhood, identity, and culture is both humbling and inspiring.
This photograph’s journey reflects a core belief of mine: that dance—like photography—can be a language of empowerment and connection.
