WILD PUMA on ICEBERG. SURPRISE at the GLACIER (LOS GLACIARES NATIONAL PARK)

Extraordinary images and videos of a WILD PUMA on an ICEBERG at El Calafate, Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina.

Pumas capture our imagination. But when a photographer captured with his camera a puma over a tympanum of ice in Argentina, at Los Glaciares National Park, the first question that came to everyone’s mind was: What is a cougar doing on a floating iceberg? What people are not aware of is that there are previous records in El Calafate of pumas swimming from one coast to the other at this National Park. These felines are great swimmers. The crossings at Lake Argentino can exceed 75 meters in depth. Yet these animals swim long stretches sometimes. The reason the world has not seen images like these ones before is the fact that mountain lions are crepuscular and nocturnal. Their circadian clock is most active during these hours.
